The Minister of Health, Dr. Saad Jaber, on Friday examined the competition organized by the Ministry of Health to allow general practitioners to join the residency program in specialties of family medicine, anesthesia, rehabilitation, ambulance, emergencies , forensic medicine and psychiatry.
A total of 261 general practitioners were offered for examination in the computer rooms of the University of Jordan. The ministry is looking to increase the number of residents and implement its plan to develop residency programs in various disciplines. The results of the exam will be announced next week, after which successful applicants will be admitted to hospitals and health centers to address the shortage of physicians residing in these specialties.
