The minister pointed to the number of houses registered with solar energy users at the Water Supply Board, where 49 applications have been received so far, pointing out that this number could increase in the coming years with the number of financial facilitation initiatives and that citizens have understood the benefits of solar energy. .
The Minister of Electricity and Water said that the cost of installing solar energy devices depends on the size and quality of solar panels, adding that the cost of production of a kilowatt pickup of up to 500 dinars.
He pointed out that the houses, which installed solar energy devices at a cost of 3,500 dinars per house, generated an electricity production of 8 kW per house.
On the other hand, Mirza said the new product proposed by Bahrain facilities to finance renewable energy beneficiaries is a positive and important step towards the achievement of national goals to increase the percentage of renewable energy. renewable energy users to 5% by 2025 and 10% by 2030. That these initiatives can overcome these proportions by raising citizens' awareness of the benefits and importance of renewable energy as an alternative to fossil fuels.
