Moroccan club Raja Sports has announced the cancellation of its contract with Spanish coach Juan Carlos Garrido, according to club management, because of the current atmosphere within the team, especially coaching differences with the players.

Yousif Safri and Bouchaib Lembarki, led by the Oval team, have been temporarily badigned to a new coach.

Al-Raja sank 2-0 to Tunisian ES Sahel on Saturday in the quarter-finals of the Zayed Cup for the Arab Champions League.

The club said in a statement that the decision to withdraw from coach Garrido had been taken after consultation with key members of the club. A compromise solution was found to end the relationship between the Spanish coach after failing to achieve harmony within the Green Citadel and the low profitability of the team at local and continental levels.

The result of Raja Casablanca's team, which won the Africa Confederations Cup a few months ago, was a remarkable decline: the Eagles suffered a resounding loss to the ES. Sahel of Tunisia, with two unanswered goals in the quarter-finals of the Zayed Cup of Arab Champions Clubs in Rabat on Saturday.

Green team supporters blamed the coach for the loss of the Tunisian club, by his technical choices that weakened the team and accelerated his defeat, in order to test the dream of the Arab crown, not to mention its relations with players in crisis.

Al-Raja is in fifth place in the Moroccan league with 21 points in 13 games, 9 points in the lead and two games postponed.
