Moroccan Minister of Youth and Sports, Rachid Talbi al-Alami, said on Wednesday that his country would not go to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, which was withdrawn from Cameroon last month.
Talbi told Agence France-Presse: "Morocco did not intend to apply for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations and would not submit an application".
According to reports in the press, Morocco would be one of the favorites to host the Africa Cup, after the African Union announced on November 30 the match, withdrawn from Cameroon because of delays in the completion of the infrastructure and facilities of the stadium and the security situation of concern.
The tournament is scheduled to take place from June 15 to July 13, the tournament that qualified Mauritanians for the first time in its history.
