Mubasher: Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat), the Kingdom's sovereign wealth fund, has announced the completion of the migration of its digital infrastructure to cloud computing for the Kingdom's AWS (Amazon Web Services Centers), a first of its kind in the Middle East.

Mumtalakat is the first government entity to have completed the migration of its digital infrastructure to the cloud after the recent opening of Amazon Web Services (AWS) at three data centers in Bahrain on July 30th.

This operation aims to provide cloud storage services to regional organizations and to cope with the growing demand in the Middle East, which has reduced the use of Mumtalakat for global data centers, as well as the speed and the flexibility of its IT services.

"The entire migration process was done internally by the team, which is the main benefit of providing a trained and competent team to complete the migration process as quickly as possible while ensuring quality of service." Said the IT manager of Mumtalakat.

"Our software is now operating in Bahrain with a shorter response time and faster speed, and all this has been accomplished as quickly as possible for the users," said Mohammed Sater.
