Nervous parents inherit the loneliness and depression trends of their children

Ottawa – A recent Canadian study of loneliness found that the younger generation is more lonely than older people and that today's societies produce a more cohesive society and more isolated individuals.

"The younger generation interacts more with technologies than with others," said Julie Aitken-Shermer, researcher at the University of Western Ontario. "Future generations worry more about the aggravation of loneliness, which leads to further depression and suicidal thoughts." The study examined the main causes of loneliness, loneliness and loneliness. isolation and lack of comrades: the results showed that loneliness predicts depression and suicidal thinking and that it contains powerful genetic factors.

A team from the University of Western Ontario studied 750 twins to explore the causes of loneliness.

"We looked at adult twins, identical and not identical, to show the relationship between degree of unity and genetic elements," says Shermer.

The researchers asked the twins to answer a series of questions about their feelings of loneliness, loneliness and lack of comrades. They found that DNA was responsible for 35% of the loneliness trend that can lead to isolation, depression, and suicidal ideation.

Researchers also found that people with many genetic traits with personality traits were more likely to feel lonely.

Unity does not only make people sad, but it also poses risks to life in general. Social isolation is badociated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease, obesity, diabetes and even death.

Although genes can explain 35% of loneliness, this does not mean that some people are condemned to loneliness and others are not. It is therefore possible to fight against loneliness by reflecting on the growth potential of plants.

"Plants inherit their ability to breed, but if they are placed in an environment without light, they will not realize the potential for elevation," says Dr. Shermer.
