MANCHESTER, England (Reuters) – Manchester City sank 2-2 in Newcastle on Tuesday in the English Premier League with a 2-2 win over Burnley.
Sergio Aguero scored after 26 minutes and Jose Solomon Rondon equalized for Newcastle in the 66th minute before Matt Richie scored the second goal in the 80th minute.
Manchester City has 56 points in second place, four points behind Liverpool, who could dig the gap he beat Leicester on Wednesday, while Newcastle ambaded 24 points in fourth place.
In the second match, Manchester United drew 1-1 with Burnley.
Barnley Ashley Barnes and Chris Wood scored in the 51st and 81st minutes, while Paul Bojba of Manchester United scored in the 88th minute and Victor Lindelov in the last minute of the match.
Manchester United advanced their lead to 45 points in sixth place and Burnley to 23 points in 15th place.
