Obesity is responsible for about 4% of all cancers in the world and a large proportion of malignancies diagnosed in developing countries, according to a US study.
In 2012, weight gain was responsible for 544,300 cancer cases diagnosed worldwide each year, researchers said in the journal Cancer Journal for Clinicians.
