Oil prices tumbled on Monday, as global economic growth continued to slow: Brent crude futures fell 37 cents to $ 63.09 a barrel, while prices rose 1.6 % last week.
The US WTI fell 20 cents to 56 dollars a barrel, while crude was up 1% last week.
This week, the main US and Chinese negotiators are due to meet for the first time since the failure of the talks in May, as both sides discuss the resolution of their deep differences, but the prospects for progress in two days in Shanghai are limited.
