Steven Baumgart, Germany coach, Paderborn, has extended his one-year contract until 2021, the club announced Thursday.
Baumgart, 42, took the reins of the team in April 2017 while he was playing in the third division. He was then able to return the team to the first division (Bundesliga) after his progression to the second division, then to the front line in 2018 and 2019.
Paderborn will open his second campaign in the Bundesliga after his first appearance in the 2014/15 season against Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday.
