He emphasized that Lebanon was the source of the civilizations of the Mediterranean region and that it brought together different civilizations, who then went to different countries of the world, calling on the deployed countries to be proud of their roots and to serve as Lebanese messengers abroad while remaining loyal to the countries that embraced them.

At the beginning of the meeting, the president of the Foundation, Mr. Charles El-Hajj Falaft, said he came to Lebanon with more than 100 young men and women representing 20 countries of the diaspora and to know more about the country of their great -parents, that they will spend about two weeks and get acquainted with its components, the educational system. With regard to his Maronite heritage, "we want them to become ambbadadors of the Maronite Foundation for the dissemination of the world and the ambbadadors of Lebanon and build a bridge of communication between Lebanon and the Lebanese scattered throughout the world". He highlighted the cooperation of the Maronite Foundation for the deployment with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants to facilitate the return of Lebanese expatriates in their Lebanese nationality.

President Aoun received the President of the National Council of the Argentinian-Lebanese Cultural Association, Mr. Gabriel Enrique Plaza Corder, with a delegation of young people from the Council who came to Lebanon as part of regular trips to communicate with Lebanese young people of the motherland.

Mr. Corder said that the council he chaired was particularly concerned about the spread of culture and the encouragement of Argentine youth to re-establish Lebanese nationality and to receive scholarships for learn Arabic. He noted that the number of young Argentineans participating in the Council's program more than 150 young people.

President Aoun welcomed the delegation, highlighting the support given to the program developed by the Argentine Council for the Learning of the Arabic Language, while stating that he was ready to support this program and all that who would bring the Lebanese diaspora from his country of origin.

In addition, President Aoun met with former MP Amal Abu Zeid and conducted a tour of information on current political developments, Russian-Lebanese relations and cooperation between the two countries.

At the Baabda Palace, the family of former MP Pierre Dakash, composed of his son Jean-Pierre Daccache, his daughter Diane Pierre Dakash and the mayor of the event, Georges Aoun, thanked the President of the Republic to have awarded the national cedar medal to his father.

President Aoun also called on Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to condemn the terrorist attack perpetrated in Cairo yesterday and offered his condolences to the killed victims and wished a speedy recovery to the wounded.
