Ali Darwish, head of the Cairo International Stadium, confirmed that the stadium would look similar to that of England at the end of April, once maintenance operations are over.

Darwish said in an interview with Echo Al-Balad Channel: "We have changed the stage of Najila, so that it looks like the one used in the English stadiums, and that the stadium is controlled by the Cairo."

"The stadium screen and its armchairs will be changed and the stands will accommodate 80,000 spectators from 60 gates," he said.

Ali Darwish concluded: "93 cameras will be installed to control those who are trying to sabotage the stadium and also to provide space for cafeterias inside the stands."

The Cairo stadium is in preparation for the opening and closing matches of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations to be held in Egypt in June.
