The Beirut Bar Association has given permission to prosecute Fadi Kheil, Ali Abbas, Zine Allou and Basem Mazloum on the grounds of a lawsuit brought by two brother officers, one in the United States. Army and the other in the state security, Fadi and Bbadam. Badaro in July 2018 between the officers and the lawyer, followed by a flyer on this last page with phrases such as "Barbarian barbaric aggression and several injuries to morale and conscience", expressing his indignation at the the humiliation and the physical and moral wrongs that the police inflicted on them.
The only judge in Beirut was dismissed in the present case by a verdict handed down about four months ago. He stated that the violations against the lawyer Fadi Kheil and acquitted of the misdemeanor of article 388 had to be annulled, one of the two teams of the plaintiff having waived his personal right. Both officers were charged with violating martial law.
Following the request of legal counsel Kahil to claim damages, one of the brothers filed a new complaint containing the same content and the same facts as the main complaint before the Attorney General's Office, which wrote a book at the order of lawyers in Beirut.
It is worth mentioning that the case of Kahil's lawyer turned into "case of public opinion" called for the solidarity of a large number of lawyers with him. It is estimated that about 250 lawyers who had created an official agency to defend their colleague were defended by the former Issam Karam Bar Association.
