Qamati: We adhere to peaceful coexistence and cooperation

The third West Asian Youth Championship, organized by the Lebanese Game Queen Federation, opened Sunday at Saydet al-Jamhour School under the patronage of President Michel Aoun and with the participation of ten countries.

Minister Mahmoud Qamati representing the sponsor of the tournament, the ambbadadors and consuls of the Arab countries participating in the tournament, the president of the Lebanese Olympic Committee, Jean Hammam, the vice-president of the International Federation and the president of the Asian Federation of Athletics, Dahlan Al Hamad, attended the meeting.

The representative of the President of the Republic, Minister Qamati, stressed in his speech the need to adhere to "peaceful coexistence, cooperation and competition between high-end civilizations, sport and athletics are a strength for souls and a rest for souls and to keep the young generation away from delinquency ".

"On behalf of the Lebanese President, General Michel Aoun, at the opening of the third West Asian Junior Championship," Qamati announced with applause.
