Qatar refuses to participate in the organization of the 2022 World Cup with other countries

A senior official of the organizing committee of the 2022 World Cup football tournament said Wednesday that Qatar had held no discussion with other countries to hold the final round.

FIFA is considering a proposal supported by its president, Gianni Infantino, to increase the number of teams in the World Cup from 32 to 48, rather than wait for the World Cup in 2026 to do so, as decided by the FIFA.
