Ethan Chappell, an astronomer from Texas, filmed a spectacular scene during the shooting of Jupiter, revealing a mysterious flash that could have been caused by a meteor explosion on the surface of the gas giant.
Astronomer Jonty Horner said that he "had never seen anything like it before," describing the flash as "incredibly beautiful".
The mysterious light seems to have been caused by a meteor burst that has entered the atmosphere of Jupiter.
A 1988 study found that the average astronomical impact on Jupiter ranged from 2,000 to 8,000 times that of the Earth. This rare event can have a "trace", which can be detected by the Juno probe or other equipment.
