LONDON (Reuters) – Midfielder Nathan Redmond has signed a new four-year contract that will remain in the club until 2023, the Premier League club said on Wednesday.
"The Redmond extension is a step forward from the club before the start of the new season," Southampton coach Ralph Hazenhotel said Monday, adding that Redmond had shown how much he was important last season.
For his part, Redmond said in a statement that he was delighted to sign and that he was eager to know the new season.
Redmond played in all 38 league games last season and was named Southampton's best player during the season.
