LONDON (Reuters) – Frenchman Anthony Marcial of Manchester United has reached an agreement with his club's management to extend his contract, the press reported.
According to Radio Monte Carlo, Marciel has reached an agreement with Manchester United to extend his five-year contract with the English team, thus ending his new contract in the summer of 2024.
French radio has announced that the signing of the official contract between the player and the club will not continue, and should be done by next Friday.
Manchester United has recently activated the option to extend Marcel's contract for an additional year, his previous contract ending in the summer of 2019, before reaching an agreement providing for the player to stay longer.
Marcel is tied to Manchester United's departure from Jose Mourinho because of his tense relationship with the Portuguese coach, which has changed after the arrival of Ole Gunnar Solshire.
