Brazilian legend Ronaldinho is in debt and unable to leave Brazil to withdraw his pbadport, Brazilian newspaper Folha de Sao Paulo reported.
The 57-year-old retired player was seized and fined up to 1.8 million euros.
The newspaper announced that the Brazilian authorities had withdrawn his Spanish and local pbadports to prevent him from leaving the country, while the debt amounted to 2.3 million euros, and had asked the Brazilian Attorney General an additional fine of 184,000 euros.
The player's lawyer appealed the decision to withdraw Ronaldinho's Spanish pbadport, noting that the Brazilian government did not have this right, describing the decision as "arbitrary" and not based on a legal text.
