The Saudi team lost their first match of the Western Asian Confederation championship against their Kuwait team with two goals in the second group match at the Franco-Hariri Stadium in the Iraqi city of Arbil.

The Saudi national led by Youssef Anbar opened the scoring early in the first half of the match through Rabia Sfiani, before equating Kuwait with a penalty kick from Hussein Moussawi in the 25th minute.

Abdulkareem Al-Qahtani missed the opportunity to score a goal for the Saudi team after the attack from a penalty kick, but Kuwaiti striker Faisal Ajab scored the winner's goal in the 67th minute of the second half.

With this result, the Kuwait team led the second group with 3 points and the same balance the team of Bahrain and the summer, while Saudi Arabia took the third place without any point of balance followed by the Jordanian team.

Saudi Arabia will play against Bahrain next Wednesday and the national team will play in the group stage on Saturday as their team meets Jordan.
