A team of American scientists studied for 454 elderly people to determine the strength and activity of the brain and their work.
The study, which included these people over a 20-year period, had agreed to be tested, monitored and studied on physical and mental strength throughout the period.
They were equipped with a device placed on the wrist to monitor physical and motor activity.
According to the study, people with an unstable lifestyle are more likely than others to develop dementia, as opposed to people with good motor activity, with a 31% reduction in the incidence of the disease.
Researchers found that physical activity helped improve brain function, while walking and doing chores helped reduce the incidence of the disease, according to the publisher of the EurekAlert website.
Scientists have recommended the need to walk and practice various physical activities that reduce the risk of infection.
