According to an annual ranking published on Tuesday, Forbes magazine named Serena Williams as the most profitable mathematician in the world in 2019.
Williams, who has won 23 major titles, earned $ 29.2 million in the 12-month period ended June 1, including $ 4.2 million in financial awards.
Naomi Osaka was second in 2018 when she beat American Williams in the Flushing Meadows final for a $ 24.3 million gain.
