Sharapova continues to climb the world rankings and Cassatkina is down

Russia's Maria Sharapova won two spots at the World Tennis Championships while compatriot Daria Castatkina took two steps back.

Sharapova went from 29th to 27th in the world, while Castatkina went from 12th to 14th.

Japan's Naume Osaka retains the lead ahead of Czech Petra Kvetova and Romania's Simona Halib.

The ranking of the ten best players is as follows:
