LONDON (Reuters) – Sheffield United signed Friday a new contract with midfielder Ben Osborne of Nottingham Forest.

Osborne grew up for the first time at the Nottingham Forest Academy with the club in 2014 and has played 230 games with the rival second division club in various competitions.

"We are very excited to join the team," said Chris Wilder of Sheffield United in a statement. "I had two or three clubs that they wanted to join in January."

"He has a lot of skills that will benefit the team and help him continue on his way.

Dean Henderson of Manchester United has also been renewed to stay at Sheffield United for a second season.

Wilders said Henderson, who had kept his team unbeaten in 21 games and won the season's best goalkeeper of the season last season, was "always our first goal".
