A source for Hossam El-Badri, president of the Pyramids club, said the president of Zamalek was continuing to train him to succeed Khaled Galal.
The source, who did not want to be identified, told Masrawy that Badri had received a call from the president of Zamalek who had denied the meeting of the two parties on the north coast.
Zamalek's bid for Al-Badri came just minutes after he announced his resignation from the Pyramids club and his return to training.
Al-Badri said in a statement that he was not worried that Zamalek is one of the biggest clubs in Egypt and Africa.
