Southampton announces dismissal of coach Mark Hughes

LONDON (Reuters) – The struggles for Southampton fired coach Mark Hughes on Monday after the team entered the relegation zone with just one win this season.

"Southampton confirms today that he has ended his badociation with the team's first coach, Mark Hughes," the club said in a statement.

Deputy coach Kelvin Davis will lead the team against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday at Wembley.
