Mohamed Fadlallah, an international expert on sports rules and regulations, revealed the legal position on the possibility of the departure of Nigeria's Junior Ajay during the free transfer period underway.
According to some information, Ajay would have the right to leave Ahli for free in January though he was not registered, especially since he was not restricting the first season.
"According to FIFA rules, if he does not play more than 10% of official matches during the season, he can leave, provided he is not injured," said Fadlallah at the championships.
He added: "Ajay having been injured for a long time of the season, he is not allowed to leave for free in January".
Ajay had expressed his anger at Al-Ahli on Monday, because the technical staff had ignored him until now on the list of players, despite the recovery of his condition.
Al-Ahly was named Ajay on the player list for the start of this season due to his injury in the African Champions League last season.
