In a statement, the Lebanese Democratic Party (LDP) denounced "motorcyclists tearing the welcome banners of the President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, from the confluence of the two rivers of the Chouf to the junction of the city of Jahiliya ".
The party said that "this action does not represent the values or the customs of the inhabitants of the mountain, nor their history".
This action coincides with the transfer of President Aoun to Beiteddine's presidential summer residence.
