CAF President Ahmed Ahmed announced that the host nation of the 2019 Nations Africa Cup will be announced on Jan. 9, Egyptian media reported on Monday.
According to the same sources, Malghasi Ahmed said in a press release that after the deadline of December 14, the Executive Committee would meet in Dakar on January 9 to announce the decision.
It was announced in late November that the tournament had been withdrawn from Cameroon, due to delays in the completion of infrastructure and gaming facilities and security concerns, just seven months before the tournament scheduled for next June and July.
