In a tragic new disaster for the boxing game, Argentine boxer Hugo Santellan, 23, died five days after falling into a deplorable state.
The World Boxing Council announced that Hugo Santellan had died from a head injury after a light game against Eduardo Abreu on Saturday in San Nicolás, 240 km north of Buenos Aires.
Santellan was killed while the result was about to be announced and was operated after the match, but he never regained consciousness and died Thursday morning.
He started boxing in 2015 and scored 19 wins, 6 losses and two draws.
Russian boxer Maxim Dadashiv died Tuesday, four days after being brainwashed in a light match against the 28-year-old Matilas Super Bowl in Maryland.
