DUBAI (Reuters) – Bahrain's central bank announced on Wednesday that it had decided to reduce its deposit benchmark rate by 25 basis points to one week from 2.75 percent to 2.50 percent.

The central bank of Bahrain also lowered the sight deposit rate from 2.50% to 2.25% and the lending rate from 4.50% to 4.25%.

The deposit interest rate for one month was also reduced from 3.10% to 2.85%.

Earlier Wednesday, the US Federal Reserve lowered interest rates by 25 basis points.
