The family of the late artist Farouk al-Fishawi fulfilled his desire to bury him in the family cemetery of Menoufia province, next to his brother, who died almost two years ago, not in Cairo.
His son, the actor Ahmed al-Fishawi, carried his father's coffin and cried with great emotion for his death.
Al-Feshawi declared cancer at the opening of the Alexandria Film Festival and confirmed that he would treat it as a "cold snap", referring to the challenge and victory over the disease.

His health deteriorated recently and he was taken to the hospital two days before his death, during his last public appearance at the funeral of the late actor Izzat Abu Auf earlier this month.
