Google App has received a new update allowing you to interact with more email applications with the help of voice commands. Once you have authorized the Google Apps app to access notifications, the app reads and responds to third-party app messages through the Google Assistant.
You can do this with text messages, but Google Assistant has never been able to read the messages from WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger, except for Android Auto.
To get started, ask Google Assistant to read your messages by saying "Read my messages". You may need to access notifications. Once tuned, they will read the messages for you and ask you to answer them by voice commands. WhatsApp, Slack, GroupMe, Discord and Facebook Messenger are among the applications that support this new feature.
The Google Assistant visual map displays a preview of the message, the name of the contact, and the application to which you reply. This looks like a different addition to the Google Assistant. Try this property and see if it works.
