Major-General Gamal Noureddine, governor of Assiut, condemned the victims of the explosion that took place near the Institute of Oncology of Cairo University after a violent explosion Sunday night. Which resulted in the fall of a number of victims, according to a security source.

The governor of Assiut, in a statement issued by the provincial Information Office, expressed his sincere condolences to the families of the victims and called on the Almighty to honor the victims of this incident and to inspire patience and comfort to their families and to save Egypt as a people, army and rulers.

He stressed that the Ministry of Health of all sectors and the civil protection forces were ready to cope with the incident and to transfer all the wounded to nearby hospitals, to treat them and to control the Incident and suffer the consequences.

The Minister of Health, Dr. Hala Zayed, announced the death of 19 citizens and wounded 30 others, as well as a "shrapnel bag" confirming the transfer of 34 cases from the Institute of Oncology at the Nbader Institute and the Al-Munira Oncology Hospital and Dar es Salaam for evacuation. For the rest of the wounded.

Attorney General Nabil Ahmed Sadiq has ordered the transfer of a team of prosecutors from south Cairo to the scene of the blast in front of the Institute of Oncology of Qasr al-Aini region. and to carry out the necessary inspections to determine the reasons and explain the unfolding of the incident.
