The hero and his character in two easy groups and a purely Arab group

The draw for the African Champions League drew on Friday. Esperance, champion of Tunisia, and Egyptian Al-Ahli, have played two relatively easy innings to qualify for the quarter-finals.

Esperance also won the second group of Group D, alongside Tanzanian Simanzan, Algerian Al-Saoura and Vita Club of Congolese Zimbabwe, Horuia Conakry of Guinea and Orlando Pirates of South Africa.

The third group will be Arab, with three teams: the Tunisian club Africain, the Egyptian Ismaili and the Algerian Constantine, alongside the Mazembe five times Congolese, the latest being 2015.

Morocco's Wydad Casablanca won 2017 in Group A with Nigerian Lopez Stars and South African Amelodi Sundowns (2016 champion) and Asik Mimosa from Côte d'Ivoire.
