The German Mats Hummels will miss Borussia Dortmund's match against Bayern Munich on Saturday in Germany's Super Cup.
According to the German newspaper Bild, the player, who returns from Bayern to Dortmund and who holds his country's national team at the 2014 World Cup, took part in a light training session showing signs of minor problems.
Humble, 30-year-old defender, is not seriously injured, but Dortmund, defending champion in Germany, does not want to take any chances.
There was no confirmation from the club, reported the newspaper in his report.
Hummels returned to Dortmund this summer. Hummels left Bayern to settle in Dortmund in 2008 before returning to Bayern in 2011.
After hiring Lucas Hernandez and Benjamin Pavard for the following season, Hummels asked to speak to Bayern coach Nikko Kovac and announced his decision to return to Dortmund.
