"The Lebanese National Theater" honors Farouk Fishawi … free performances for his most important films

The Tero Arts Association and #Istanbul theater management have announced the organization of a week-long film tribute to deceased artist Farouk # Fishawi, at the Lebanese National Theater in #Sour.

The founder of the Lebanese National Theater, the actor and director Kbadem Istanbuli, said that he would screen a series of films drawn from the masterpieces of the works of Al-Fishawi. Besides the movie "The Flood" of 1985 directed by Bashir Al-Deek, the film "The case of Uncle Ahmed" with Farid Shawqi in 1985, directed by Ali Reza, and "Suspicious" with Adel Imam in 1981, directed by Samir Seif.

"Seven Colors of the Sama" will be screened with Leila Alawi in 2007, directed by Saad Hendawi. The films will be screened for free from August 10 to 12, 2019, every day at 7 pm at the Lebanese National Theater in Tire.

Al-Fishawi has won numerous awards throughout his career and has been the most prominent face at the opening of most Arab art festivals. In 2007, he received the National Human Rights Council Award for Best Art Work and the Best Media, in 2009 he was awarded the Best Actor Award by the National Film Board of Canada. African Film Academy for the seven colors of the sama and the shield of the ruler of Dubai, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, of the 4th Arab Forum of Arab Producers. His last awards took place in February 2019, when he received the Film Leadership Award from the 67th Festival of the Catholic Film Center.

The last of his works is his participation in King Lear's play with star Yahya al-Fakharani. Fishawi died on the 25th after battling cancer.
