Mehdi Ali, the former coach of the United Arab Emirates team, confirmed that the overall level of the 2019 Asian Cup currently being hosted by the United Arab Emirates is still below the satisfactory level, but that it will grow in the coming period.
"Most of the big teams have not reached the expected level yet.In general, I think the level is less than good," said Ali Ali at the sports portal Al Ain.
"With time, the tournament will be better and the technical level of all teams participating in the series will evolve."
"The participation of 24 teams in the tournament paves the way for teams we had not seen before in the tournament and gives them a chance to contact strong people to develop the level."
