In a statement today, the mayor of Sir Al Dinniyeh, Ahmed Alam, called for "the reopening of an enemy landfill in order to solve the problem of insoluble waste in the region and in the city. other districts in the north of the country since the closure of the landfill about four months ago ".

He called for "not relying on political or personal positions and interests that oppose the reopening of an enemy landfill or looking for an alternative landfill". He criticized "Dhinniyyah's waste traders, who have become more numerous than local food traders, and some of them have expressed their willingness to eliminate street litter, roads and places, in exchange for a sum ranging from one million to one and a half million pounds per truck ".

He stressed that "the activists, the parties and the civil society who showed their enthusiasm and jealousy towards their city in order to rid them of their waste, provided the municipality and the population with a greater badistance than those provided by the official authorities concerned ".
