Manama, August 12 (BNA) The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has confirmed that the value of NSF checks in the first half of the year fell by 33.6 percent and its value was around Bahrain's 61 million dinars. The bank indicated that the number of checks returned during the first half of 2019 amounted to 46,654 checks, or 6.4% less than the number of checks returned during the same period in 2018, about 49,857 checks.
According to the latest data, the value of checks returned for financial reasons in the first half of this year was 89.6 million BD, 38.2% less than the value of checks returned for financial reasons during the same period of 2018, which represented about 145 million BD.
The CBB noted that the banking sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain is experiencing a marked improvement at all levels, be it at the level of banks and financial institutions or at the individual level, on the basis of regularly monitored and announced indicators. transparent way.
