The Prince of Mecca and Chairman of the Central Committee for Pilgrimage, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, said Tuesday that the number of pilgrims for this year has reached two million, 489,000 and 406 pilgrims and pilgrims.
When activating a press conference, the Prince of Mecca stated that Mona's development model would be ready next year and that the Committee was keen to develop it.
Prince Khalid Al-Faisal confirmed that 350,000 workers and 35,000 volunteers were employed to serve the pilgrims.
In addition to 120,000 security agents, 200,000 agents from various sectors and 30,000 health workers.
More than 36 million meals were harnessed, distributed by charity committees to pilgrims – adds the Prince of Mecca – and 4,715 megawatts of electricity were consumed.
In addition to pumping 41 million cubic meters of water during the pilgrimage, Prince Khaled Al Faisal adds.
The same spokesman added that more than two million and 400,000 pilgrims had been transferred from Arafat to Muzdalifah in six hours.
With regard to medical services, he said that health services had been provided to half a million pilgrims and 836 open-heart operations.
