Napoli signed real Betis Spanish midfielder Fabian Ruiz for a five-year contract with Carlo Ancelotti, the new coach of the Italian club, to put an end to Juventus' dominance.
Napoli, who finished second last season, did not disclose the value of the case on his site, but local media said he paid a penalty of 30 million euros to bring the Spanish player at the stadium of San Paolo.
Fabian is Napoli's second player this summer after striker Simone Verdi of Bologna for 25 million euros for a five-year deal.
Fabian, 22, played 34 league games and scored three goals last season with Real Betis, who qualified for the European Championship for the first time in six years.
A Real Betis graduate participated in the Primera Liga during the 2015-2016 season.
Napoli, who finished four seasons behind Juventus and qualified for the group stage of the Champions League, was named Ancelotti, 59, in May to succeed Maurizio Sari.
