The Superior Council of the Judiciary commented on what had been said at a press conference held by a minister this afternoon and what he had said about the deliberations that had taken place during his last session. Who is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of the judiciary as well as the dignity and independence and the smooth functioning of the courts, which denies in this respect the veracity of the words of the Minister, it will not enter into the details of the response to ensure the confidentiality of its deliberations.

In a statement, the Council stated that "any deliberation that may take place with the President of the High Council of the Judiciary on important cases of emergency impeding the conduct of judicial proceedings is based on the provisions of the Law on justice and does not constitute a violation of the powers or an interference in the conduct of these acts ". The Minister's statement concerning the content of the interview between the President of the Superior Council of the Judiciary, the Minister of Justice and the first investigating judge at the Military Court, is totally false.

He stressed that "the content of some of the paragraphs of the aforementioned press conference constitutes an illegal interference in judicial work and states that the judiciary in Lebanon is Egypt which must play its full role in the implementation of the law and justice, far from any attempt to influence or disrupt the work. "
