The Qatar stock market is down 1.9 percent today

The Qatar Exchange (QE) recorded a general decline in the index of 1.93% at 10:03, Qatar time, in a context of collective decline of sectors.
That happened at the start of Thursday's negotiations, which represents a loss of 185.41 points on Wednesday.
The index reached 9490.13 points.
This is the lowest decline for the Qatar Stock Exchange since August 2018.
The fall came in parallel with the US and global markets, raising fears of a global recession.

QE performance today

The turnover reached 42.69 million QAR, divided into 13.83 million shares, for 1.52 transaction.

The banking and financial services sector fell 2.52%, due to the 9-share decline.
The Qatar National Bank (QNB), the largest relative weighting of the index, lost 3.28%.

7 of the 10 listed shares in the industrial sector declined.
Qatar's industries fell by 0.30%, followed by QAMCO, which lost 4.70%.
The manufacturing sector was down 0.70%.

Among the big losers, Vodafone Qatar, which lost 6.11%, for a price of 1.23 riyals.

Al-Mannai Trading Company grew by 0.57%, while the National Leasing Holding Company grew by 0.45%.

Qatar First Bank (QFB) was the driving force behind the rise, reaching 2.77 million shares, down 2.91%.
Liquidity amounted to 42.69 million QAR, with a value of 10.78 million rupees for the National Bank of Qatar.
