World heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz will face Britain's Anthony Joshua at a fight restart in Saudi Arabia on Dec. 7, Sky Sports announced on Friday.

Ruiz had one of the biggest surprises in boxing when he defeated Joshua, 29. The sentence ended with a knockout for the Mexican-American boxer in the seventh round at Madison Square Garden in New York on June 1st.

Joshua, who had not been beaten before the fight in which he was fighting for the first time in the United States, defended the titles of the International Boxing Association, the World Boxing Association and the World Boxing Organization, but collapsed four times during the Battle of Ruiz.

Three days later, promoter Eddie Hearn confirmed that Joshua, gold medalist at the 2012 Olympic Games in the heavyweight category, had played the comeback for a match that he called "irreplaceable victory" .
