Police have suspended searching for a plane carrying Argentine footballer Emiliano Sala, who recently rejoined the city of Cardiff after disappearing over the English Channel as they headed for the capital.
"Search and rescue operations have now been suspended after sunset," Guernsey police said late Tuesday, adding that the current plan is to resume searches with the sunrise on Wednesday.
The Argentinian player Emiliano Sala, who plays for the city of Cardiff, went missing while he was flying a training plane over Britain after leaving Nantes in the west of the France to go to Cardiff, Wales, said the Mirror.
According to the newspaper, the plane disappeared from the radar screens over a British area on Monday night.
British and French authorities are exploring the waters in front of the Guernsey Island in search of a single engine.
"For the moment, no trace of the missing plane has been found," police said. The officials in Nantes and Cardiff have not commented.
The 28-year-old striker joined Club League City, Nantes, last week in a deal with a record of around 17 million euros.
