The Minister of Health, Dr. Tawfiq Bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, announced the success of Hajj's health plans for 1440, and is safe from any event affecting public health.

In a final press statement read today at the Mina emergency hospital, Al Rabiah said: "In accordance with the guidelines of the guardian of the two holy mosques and the Crown Prince, the Ministry of Health was prepared early for the Hajj this year 1440 and published the health requirements and recommendations related to Hajj and published them through the embbadies of the Two Mosques.
He explained that more than 1.6 million pilgrims had benefited from preventive and ambulatory services in the health centers provided by the ministry this year, which also collaborated with several government agencies as part of the Initiative of the Mecca, in the course of which preventive measures were put in place in the country of Hajj before going to the Kingdom. This initiative – thank God – represents a paradigm shift in meeting health demands, with coverage of meningitis and flu vaccines for pilgrims going through this initiative to 100% for the first time.
The Minister of Health pointed out that the ministry had set up a pilgrimage system earlier this year in cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO).
He pointed out that the number of participants in the service of pilgrims for this year, about 30,000 employees of the Ministry of Health, has also been the establishment of 25 hospitals in Mecca and Medina and holy places of a capacity 5,000 beds, 142 basic health centers, and more than 140 mobile clinics. Al-Rabiah said: The number of pilgrims receiving health services in our settlements has reached about half a million pilgrims from the first day of the month of Dhul-Qaida until the twelfth day of the month of Dhul- Hijjah, while the number of people admitted to the hospital reached more than 4,200 pilgrims. Health has also provided machine translation facilities in 120 languages ​​in hospitals and primary health care centers. Direct translation by the call center (937), in addition to the application of the electronic medical file system in 55 primary care centers and all hospitals in holy places, and activates fingerprint identification technology anonymous in cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior.
