The US administration has exempted certain goods imported from China from certain customs duties.
The US Trade Representative's office said that the United States would exempt some Chinese products from tariffs for reasons of health, safety, national security and other factors, while duties on other products would be reported to December 15.
Customs duty exemptions include components for the manufacture of smartphones, laptops, video game consoles, computer screens and some materials for the apparel industry and the shoe.
After the report, US equities reversed the trend of wiping out losses at the beginning of the session.
The Dow rose nearly 2%, adding more than 460 points, supported by the technology sector led by Apple, which grew more than 5%.
