After 17 days of 4-2 defeats in an exciting league match, the Spurs returned to the Emirates Stadium for their first win over Arsenal in eight years and will face Chelsea in two home-and-away matches.
Sun opened the scoring in contrast with a superb goal in the 24th minute and inside the club's second goal, about an hour after Tottenham's entry in the semifinals.
Shortly after, an Arsenal supporter threw a plastic bottle on the auto but that did not affect the joy of Tottenham, who took a step forward towards his first title with coach Mauricio Buccetino, whom Manchester United wants to sign.
"It's a big game and we did not have a good result at our last meeting here and it's a great night out," Sun said.
Arsenal played 22 undefeated matches in all competitions with new coach Onai Emery before bowing to Southampton on Sunday and the second defeat in four days was very bitter.
The owner performed well but lost several opportunities, especially in the first period.
Spaniard Paolo Gatsaniga, who took the lead after Hugo Lauris' rest, appeared as his team needed him to move Arun Ramsey's direct shot to hit the post in the first half.
The Argentine goalkeeper was the first to maintain a blank sheet with Tottenham on Arsenal 's pitch, regardless of the competition held since November 1998.
* A promising start
Arsenal started to play hard and Henrich Mukhtarian lost the lead in front of the goal before Ramsey's shot went past.
Makhtaryan then missed another opportunity in a lonely position as he threw the ball near Gatsanija.
Tottenham took the lead in the 24th minute when a pbad to Alee, who gave the ball to Sun, put the ball in the net against Peter Chuck.
Moussa Sissoko had to double in advance, but turned the ball over, Arsenal ended the match better and Gatsanija blocked Ramsey's shot.
Arsenal striker Alexander Lakazit and Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane took part in an hour of play, but the English player immediately left his mark.
Ken held his head on a ball and pbaded it to Ali, who was preparing it before putting that on the doubt.
Lazazet scored in goal, but Arsenal seemed unable to prevent Tottenham from winning.
Tottenham is looking forward to winning his first title since 2008 after defeating Chelsea in the FA Cup final, bowing to the same team in the 2015 final in his first season at Pocetino.
"We have already played against Watford, West Ham and Arsenal," said Buccitino.
"We're going to see what's going on, Chelsea is a great team but we're excited," he said.
