HAMBURG (Reuters) – The state-owned Poultry and Feeding Corporation has reportedly bought about 40,000 tons of corn likely from South America, European traders said in a tender closed Tuesday.
Argentina was considered the most likely choice among South American origins.
Corn is thought to have been purchased at a price of between $ 196 and $ 196.75 per ton, including transportation costs.
Traders said the tender ordered an expedition between August 20 and September 5.
